Open FxPro Account →FxPro supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, FxPro Edge and TradingView. MT4 suits traders who want Expert Advisors and a familiar interface, MT5 adds shares CFDs and Depth of Market, cTrader targets scalpers and algo traders, and FxPro Edge is FxPro's own web platform.
Which FxPro platform to choose
- MetaTrader 4 — the most widely used forex platform; supports Expert Advisors, custom indicators and one-click trading.
- MetaTrader 5 — the multi-asset successor to MT4, with 21 timeframes, Depth of Market and shares CFDs.
- cTrader — built for active and algorithmic traders, with Level-II depth-of-market pricing and raw spreads.
- FxPro Edge — FxPro's own web and desktop platform, designed to keep charting, orders and account management in one place.
- TradingView — lets you trade directly from TradingView charts using an FxPro account.
- All five run on desktop, web and mobile, and a single FxPro Direct login manages the accounts behind them.
The platform choice and the cost of a trade are separate decisions
It is easy to assume the platform sets the price. It does not — the account type does. MT4 alone runs in two pricings: Standard, an all-in spread from 1.2 pips with no commission, and Raw+, from 0.0 pips plus $3.50 per lot per side. The same chart, the same order ticket, two different bills.
Measured on FxPro's own MT5 Raw+ feed, EUR/USD held a 0.2-pip median spread and GBP/USD 0.6 pips over a 24-hour window. Turned into money, a EUR/USD lot costs about $9.00 all-in — $2.00 of spread plus $7.00 of round-turn commission. On Standard the same lot is roughly $12 in spread and nothing in commission, so which is cheaper depends entirely on how much you trade.
What the platform genuinely decides is what you can reach and how you work: MT5 adds shares CFDs and Depth of Market, cTrader adds Level-II pricing, Edge removes the download, and TradingView keeps its own charting. All five run on one FxPro Direct account across 2,116 instruments, and all five have a free unlimited demo.
